Code of Conduct for Faculty
Faculty members play a pivotal role in shaping the future of students and the nation. They are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, and dedication to their duties.
General Conduct
- Punctuality: Faculty members must be punctual to duty and stay within the campus during the working hours of the institute.
- Professionalism: Conduct oneself in a professional and co-operative manner. Rude or abusive behavior, or negative comments against colleagues are strictly prohibited.
- Asset Protection: Take necessary precautions to protect the equipment, materials, and facilities of the college.
- Private Tuitions: Faculty members are strictly not allowed to take private tuitions.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and do not pass unauthorized information to any inside/outside persons.
Academic Responsibilities
- Discharge assigned teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities diligently, honestly, and in an unbiased manner.
- Complete evaluation work (CIE & SEE) assigned by the Board on priority without causing inconvenience.
- Be available in the classroom 5 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement. Do not suspend classes without authorization.
- Involve visual and activity-based learning (PPTs) in addition to conventional blackboard teaching.
- Be available for students after class hours to clarify doubts and mentor them on academic matters.
- Maintain records of lesson plans and valid documents for courses handled.
